13.5' Air Cushioned Pro heavy duty Light Stand

I purchased this light stand less than a year ago. When it worked, it was amazing: smooth and seamless motion during height adjustments. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, I noticed that the top tube was met with a lot of friction when I was trying to adjust it - this made it very difficult to operate the stand. I took the top tube apart and noticed that one of the bearings have cracked and separated into two pieces. I have contacted customer service 10 days ago through email with photos of the failure but have yet to hear back. I have also talked to Jennie from Inspirion on the phone about this but she told me to send them an email again... I did 6 days ago and still no word. Currently I'm unimpressed with the lack of communication.
